TimeVault 0.7.5-1 Beta Candidate
December 19th, 2007 · No Comments · Tech News
Ubuntu users looking for a backup utility like Apple’s Time Machine (without the 3d glitz) should take a look at TimeVault. The back-up program integrates nicely into Nautilus and allows the user to browse through their backups via a 2D gui application. The user can then rollback individual files or entire folders back to the corresponding time in TimeVault. You can download the latest TimeVault .deb from launchpad.

openSUSE 10.3 - Review
October 8th, 2007 · 58 Comments · Reviews
openSUSE is a community-driven project sponsored by Novell – similar to Fedora and RedHat. I haven’t used SUSE in quite sometime and with the release of their latest version 10.3, it seemed to be a good time to see how they have progressed.
The installation procedure for openSUSE 10.3 hasn’t changed a lot since I last used SUSE. I always thought SUSE made some of the best default splash screens in Linux and again I was impressed by the initial welcome screen for the installation.
